About five years ago my friends invited me over to their house for a nice evening get-together. When I got there I noticed a new TV and a surround-sound system. When I asked about it they told that they were trading forex and making nice reasonable profits. This talk got me thinking about the subject. and I decided to try it employing an old-school approach.

I took a short one-time seminar on the forex market. The organizers of this seminar told the participants that after this session we would be able to trade like old-timers. Well, obviously it was a joke because after this seminar I didn't know even where to get a trading platform. So after much consideration, googling and window shopping I bought a book on trading and downloaded an avafx demo account. Needless to say that my first ever trade was a flop. I lost, but learned a lesson - I have to study this subject seriously if I want to see some profits. And I did. I took the book, followed it almost to the letter and my demo performance improved fast.

When a practice month passed I've opened a real account, deposited $100 and started trading.  It was hard at first but after a while the confidence came. And first profits. Couple of months later I was having a nice like second salary. I won't lie - my experience with the forex market wasn't always smooth, sometimes I wondered whether I was dealing with Avafx scam or not, but the general impression and experience were good.

If you are wondering why I'm writing in the past tense, the answer is simple... I had a baby a while ago and now all my time and attention is filled with him. He is the cutest baby in all the world and I don't want anything to interfere with our quality time together. But when he's a little older I will definitely deal forex again.
